1. Scope and Data Controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Realbitt, an individual operating Ometell from Palestine (“Ometell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use Ometell.com and related services (the “Service”). Realbitt is the data controller for the personal information described here unless another notice states otherwise.
This Policy applies to website visitors, account holders, users of random one-to-one video and text chat, drawing and game features, purchasers of Coins, gift senders or recipients, and people who contact or report to us. It does not govern independent third-party services linked from the Service.
2. Adults Only — No Users Under 18
Ometell is strictly limited to people who are at least 18 years old. We do not permit anyone under 18 to access or use the Service and do not knowingly collect personal information from minors as users.
If we learn or reasonably suspect that a user is under 18, we may restrict access, investigate, and delete or isolate the account and associated personal information, while retaining limited information when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent repeat access, preserve evidence, or comply with law. If you believe a minor is using Ometell, immediately report the account through the Service or contact ometellapp@gmail.com. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information about the minor.
3. Personal Information We Collect
3.1 Account and profile information
- name, email address, profile image, account identifier, and authentication tokens or confirmation received from a sign-in provider such as Google;
- age confirmation and, where proportionate and lawful, age-assurance result or limited evidence;
- profile settings, interests, language, country or region, block list, preferences, and account status; and
- support communications and information you submit when contacting us.
3.2 Live communications and interactive content
- text messages, shared drawings, game events, gifts, reactions, and other content you choose to transmit;
- signaling and connection information needed to establish a WebRTC session, match users, maintain rooms, and end sessions; and
- live audio and video streams. These are generally transmitted directly between participants using WebRTC, or relayed temporarily through a TURN service when a direct connection is unavailable. Ometell does not routinely record or store the content of live audio or video calls unless a separate, prominent notice explains a specific lawful safety or feature use.
Another participant may capture or record an interaction using their device or external tools without our knowledge. Ometell cannot prevent every unauthorized recording. Do not display or disclose information you do not want another person to retain.
3.3 Technical, device, and usage information
- IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, language, time zone, referrer, timestamps, cookie or session identifiers, and network diagnostics;
- connection, matching, session, Socket/WebRTC, feature interaction, performance, crash, error, and security logs; and
- information about reports, blocks, moderation actions, suspicious activity, rate-limit events, and account or device associations used to prevent abuse.
WebRTC may disclose network information, including a public IP address or related connection information, to the matched participant or infrastructure used to establish or relay a call. The exact information depends on your browser, device, network, and whether a relay is used. A VPN or browser privacy feature may reduce some exposure but is not guaranteed to do so.
3.4 Purchases, Coins, wallet, and gifts
- Coin package, amount, currency, transaction and invoice identifiers, timestamps, payment status, blockchain transaction information where cryptocurrency is used, refunds, chargebacks, and fraud signals;
- Coin, gift, earnings, and closed-loop account-balance records; and
- limited billing or verification information provided by a payment processor. Ometell does not receive or store full payment-card details when a third-party processor collects them directly.
3.5 Reports and safety information
When you report a user or appeal a decision, we collect the report, reason, identifiers, relevant session metadata, communications with us, and any evidence you choose to provide. We may preserve information reasonably necessary to investigate serious abuse, protect a potential victim, establish or defend legal claims, or respond to lawful authorities.
3.6 Cookies, local storage, advertising, and analytics
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for login, security, preferences, session continuity, load balancing, fraud prevention, and core operation. With consent where required, we may also use analytics or advertising technologies to measure use, limit ads, and deliver contextual or personalized advertising.
Where non-essential technologies are used, our cookie consent interface identifies their purposes and allows you to accept, reject, or later change your choices as required by law. Rejecting non-essential technologies does not disable strictly necessary functions. We do not use non-essential cookies before valid consent where consent is required.
4. How We Collect Information
- directly from you when you sign in, set preferences, communicate, buy Coins, send gifts, report conduct, or contact us;
- automatically from your browser, device, network, cookies, and use of the Service;
- from matched users or reporters, such as when they block or report an interaction; and
- from service providers and partners, including identity, payment, fraud-prevention, hosting, content-delivery, analytics, and advertising providers.
5. Why We Use Information and Our Legal Bases
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or a similar law applies, we rely on the following legal bases. The applicable basis depends on the information and context:
- Contract: to authenticate you, match and connect users, transmit communications, operate drawings and games, manage Coins and gifts, process requested purchases, provide support, and enforce feature-specific rules;
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports, moderate content, measure performance, debug, protect legal rights, and improve core functionality, after considering user rights and reasonable expectations;
- Consent: for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, certain optional analytics or communications, and any processing that law requires to be based on consent. You may withdraw consent at any time through the available cookie consent settings or by contacting us at ometellapp@gmail.com, without affecting earlier lawful processing;
- Legal obligation: to maintain required transaction records, respond to valid legal process, report content where law requires, protect rights, and comply with tax, accounting, sanctions, consumer, and safety obligations; and
- Vital interests or public interest: in exceptional circumstances where reasonably necessary to protect a person from a serious and imminent threat or to support competent authorities as permitted by law.
We use information for the stated purposes, including to provide random matching; establish, maintain, and troubleshoot calls; personalize language and preferences; administer accounts and purchases; calculate balances; prevent duplicate or fraudulent transactions; enforce the Terms and Community Guidelines; respond to requests; and send important service or security notices.
6. Automated Tools and Moderation
We may use automated rules or signals to identify spam, bots, payment fraud, rate-limit evasion, suspected minors, unsafe behavior, or other violations. These tools may flag content or activity for human review or impose a temporary protective restriction. We do not intend to make a solely automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects where prohibited without an applicable legal basis and safeguards. Where required, you may request human review, express your view, and contest a decision through ometellapp@gmail.com.
Ometell does not use live video to identify you through facial recognition or create biometric identity templates unless we first provide a specific notice and establish the legal basis and safeguards required by applicable law.
7. When We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described below:
- Matched users: your live audio/video, chosen profile information, text, drawings, game activity, gifts, and necessary connection data are disclosed to the person with whom you interact;
- Processors and service providers: providers of cloud hosting, databases, content delivery, DDoS protection, session and TURN relay infrastructure, identity, support, security, communications, analytics, and professional services process information under contractual or legal safeguards;
- Identity and payment providers: Google may process login information under its own terms; NOWPayments or the payment provider displayed at checkout processes payment and transaction information under its own terms.
- Advertising partners: if advertising is enabled and you consent where required, advertising providers may receive online identifiers, device information, approximate location, consent choices, and ad interaction information. They may act as independent controllers for some uses; the consent interface must identify them and provide required controls;
- Legal and safety disclosures: we may disclose information when reasonably believed necessary to comply with valid legal process; protect a person from serious harm; investigate fraud, exploitation, or security incidents; enforce agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- Business transactions: information may be disclosed under confidentiality safeguards in a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, insolvency, or sale of all or part of the business, with notice where law requires.
We do not publicly disclose private account information merely because someone requests it. We review law-enforcement demands for legal validity and scope where permitted.
8. International Data Transfers
Ometell may operate and use providers in countries other than yours. Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction that restricts transfers, we use a lawful mechanism as applicable, such as an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, or another permitted safeguard, together with supplementary protections where necessary. Contact ometellapp@gmail.com for information about applicable safeguards.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and then delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, unless law requires or permits longer retention. Retention is determined using the following criteria:
- account, profile, settings, balances, and service records: while the account is active and for a limited period afterward to complete deletion, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce rights;
- purchase, transaction, tax, and accounting records: for the period required by applicable financial, tax, anti-fraud, and recordkeeping law;
- text, drawing, game, and session content: transmitted for the interaction and not retained longer than needed for delivery, functionality, safety reports, troubleshooting, or legal obligations;
- live audio/video: not routinely recorded or stored by Ometell; transient relay data is kept only as technically necessary to transmit the call, unless a separately disclosed feature or lawful safety process applies;
- security logs, device/network signals, reports, moderation records, and ban-prevention identifiers: for the shortest period reasonably necessary based on severity, recurrence risk, investigation, appeal, and limitation periods; and
- backups: until overwritten under the regular backup cycle, with access restricted and deletion applied upon restoration where feasible.
Deletion may not remove copies already captured by another user. We may retain a minimal suppression or enforcement record after account deletion where necessary to prevent fraud, repeat access by a minor, or serious abuse, subject to applicable law.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature and risk of the information, such as access controls, encrypted transport, credential protection, logging, rate limits, network protections, backups, vendor review, and incident response. No internet service or storage method is completely secure. Keep your device and account secure, do not share credentials, and report suspected compromise to ometellapp@gmail.com.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may have the right to:
- know whether we process your personal information and access or obtain a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of sale, sharing, cross-context behavioral advertising, or qualifying targeted advertising;
- appeal our refusal of a request where applicable; and
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
Submit a request by emailing ometellapp@gmail.com. Describe the request and the account or email involved. We may verify your identity proportionately and may deny or limit a request where law permits, such as to protect another person, preserve security, comply with law, or retain necessary transaction or legal-claim records. Authorized agents must provide legally sufficient authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
12. California and Other U.S. State Disclosures
During the preceding 12 months, depending on the features used, we may have collected the categories described in Section 3: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic network activity; approximate geolocation; audio, visual, and user-generated content; and inferences or safety signals. We collect them from the sources in Section 4, use them for the purposes in Section 5, and disclose them to the recipients in Section 7.
We do not sell personal information for money. If our use of personalized advertising constitutes "selling," "sharing," or targeted advertising under applicable law, eligible users may opt out through the available privacy settings or by contacting ometellapp@gmail.com. Where legally required, we honor a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device sending it. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 18 because minors are not permitted to use the Service.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a statutory right to limit unless a separate notice and control are provided. California users may request the specific statutory information, correction, or deletion and may use an authorized agent, subject to verification and legal exceptions.
14. Third-Party Links and Services
Third-party identity, payment, advertising, or linked sites may collect information under their own privacy notices. Their independent practices are not controlled by this Policy. Review their notices before providing information. Ometell remains responsible for its own selection and use of processors to the extent required by law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or service changes. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
